Sand paper, paint striffer, wood stain or paint, polyurethane, rags, safety gloves and drop cloth.
Clean the piece thoroughly, removing dirt and grease. Remove hardware and set aside.
Heat ghee in a pan.
Apply paint stripper and let it sit according to instructions. Scrape off old finish with a putty knife.
Sand the wood to smooth out imperfections. Apply wood stain or paint, following manufacturer's instructions.
Apply a coat of polyurethane to protect the finish. Let it dry according to instructions.
Reattach hardware and admire your handiwork! Your restored furniture is now ready for use.
