Wriddhiman Prasanta Saha, born on October 24, 1984, in Shaktigarh, Bengal, rose to fame through his incredible talent as a wicketkeeper-batter.
Saha made his Ranji debut for Bengal and impressed by scoring a century. His consistent performance led him to the national stage.
Saha got his Test debut for India in 2010 due to an injury to Rohit Sharma. He soon became a key reserve wicketkeeper, stepping in for MS Dhoni when needed.
In 2008, Saha was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for the inaugural IPL season. He would go on to become a veteran of the tournament.
