1.1/2 cup flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tbsp baking soda, 1/2 tbsp salt, – 1 large egg,1 cup buttermilk, 2 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 tbsp red food coloring, Cream cheese frosting
Whisking together all your dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
Gently pour your wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Pour about ¼ cup of batter per pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another minute or until golden brown.
Stack the pancakes, drizzle with cream cheese frosting, and add your favorite berries or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for the perfect finishing touch.
