Fluffy Kerala-Style Appam With Creamy Ishtu

Ingredients

you need a Raw rice, 2 ¼ cup, grated coconut, Cooked rice, yeast, sugar and salt. Mixed vegetables, onion, mustard seeds,  oil, genger, coconut, curryleaves and cardamom.

Make Batter

Soak the rice for about 4-5 hours or overnightt texture. Drain the soaked rice and grind it well, adding the coconut. Grind it smoother.

Make Appam

Heat the pan and if needed grease it slightly. Pour a ladle full of batter in a pan & swirl the pan around to spread the batter. cook in low heat for about 2 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan then add some spices and onion sauté for a minute.

Saute Dry Ingreedients

Add chopped veggies to this and mix well. Add the ground coconut paste to the veggies.

Add Chopped Vegetables

Cook On A Pressure Cooker

Top up with 2 cups of water.Close the lid of the cooker. Allow 4-5 whistles.

Add Coconut Milk

Now add coconut milk. Mix well. Add water if you need.

Serve 

Your kerala stle Appam with creamy ishtu is ready. Serve and enjoy.
