2 shots of espresso, 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar , 3-4 oz of steamed milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract , whipped cream and chocolate shavings for topping.
Brew two shots of espresso into a cup. You can use an espresso machine or strong brewed coffee as a substitute.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and sugar until well combined.
Add the chocolate mixture to the espresso, whisking until smooth and creamy.
Steam 3-4 oz of milk until hot and frothy. You can use a steam wand on an espresso machine or a milk frother.
Pour the steamed milk into the cup with the espresso and chocolate mixture. Hold back the foam with a spoon.
Top the latte with the reserved foam and garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
