Prepare and chill pie crust for 30 minutes, line a pie plate with half the dough.
Mix filling ingredients and set aside.
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F), roll and cut remaining dough into strips.
Fill the chilled pie crust, top with a lattice pattern, and brush with milk and sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes, then lower to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Cool for 30 minutes, slice, and serve.
