Zainab Khanam
In a large kadai, heat 1 cup of ghee to get started.
Add 1 cup wheat flour and mix well, ensuring no lumps form. Stir on medium flame.
After 14-15minutes, the mixture will start turning golden and fragrant.
Around 20 minutes later, it should be dark golden brown, fully cooked.
Boil 1 cup sugar and 3 cups water for 2 minutes in a separate pan.
Carefully pour the hot sugar syrup over the wheat mixture while stirring continuously.
Stir for 5 more minutes, avoiding lumps as the mixture absorbs all the syrup.
Add ¼ tsp cardamom powder, stir, and enjoy your hot, delicious aate ka halwa!
