Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour half of the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, followed by half of the buttermilk.
Pour or spoon the batter into the liners, filling them only halfway to prevent overflow during baking.
Bake for 18-21 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
You can top these cupcakes with your favorite frosting, such as chocolate buttercream or peanut butter frosting for an extra treat!
