– All-purpose flour (Maida) – Desi Ghee – Baking powder – Sugar – Water – Cardamom powder – Pistachios/Almonds for garnish
Start by mixing flour, baking powder, and desi ghee. Add water slowly to form a soft dough.
Shape the dough into small balls, flatten slightly, and create a small hole in the center.
Heat desi ghee in a pan. Fry the shaped dough balls on low heat until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Make a one-string consistency sugar syrup with sugar, water, and cardamom. Dip the fried balushahi in the syrup.
Once soaked in syrup, garnish the balushahi with chopped pistachios or almonds. Enjoy the flaky, rich, and sweet delight!
