Lingkan Reang
Blend garlic and chillies coarsely (or crush with a mortar and pestle).
Heat oil in a wok until smoking, then saute garlic and chilies until fragrant.
Add sliced shallots and cook for a minute, then stir-fry chicken with salt for 4-5 minutes.
Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and sugar, mix well.
Add basil leaves and toss until wilted.
Serve hot with steamed jasmine rice.
