Rice, sugar, milk, cardamom powder, cashews, almonds, and raisins for garnish.
Start by boiling 4 cups of full-fat milk in a heavy pan. Keep stirring to avoid burning.
Wash 1 cup of rice and add it to the boiling milk. Cook on low flame until the rice becomes soft and creamy.
Once the rice is cooked, add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup condensed milk. Stir well.
Add a pinch of cardamom powder to bring in that rich aroma.
Garnish your Payesh with roasted cashews, almonds, and raisins for that festive touch.
