In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, semolina, salt, turmeric powder, and sugar.
While the batter is resting, fill a steamer with water and bring it to a boil.
Just before steaming, add Eno fruit salt to the batter and mix gently. You will notice the batter bubbling up; this is normal.
Steam for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat. To check if it’s done, insert a toothpick or knife; it should come out clean.
In a small pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves and slit green chilies. Saute for a few seconds.
Once steamed, remove the dhokla from the steamer and let it cool slightly.
Serve warm with green chutney or sweet tamarind chutney as a snack or appetizer.
