– 1 cup cornmeal – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup sugar – 1 tbsp baking powder – 1/2 tsp salt – 1 cup milk – 1/4 cup melted butter – 2 eggs
In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the cornbread cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy with butter, honey, or your favorite sides!
