Zainab Khanam
– 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup cocoa powder – 1 tsp baking soda – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened) – 3/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup brown sugar – 1 large egg – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 tbsp red food coloring – 1 cup white chocolate chips
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes. This helps the cookies hold their shape while baking.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shape as desired. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Serve with a glass of milk or as is for a delightful treat!
