- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour - 1 ½ cups sugar - 1 tsp baking soda - 1 tsp cocoa powder - 1 cup buttermilk - 2 eggs - 1 cup vegetable oil - 1 tsp vanilla extract - Red food coloring
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder.
In another bowl, whisk the sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and red food coloring until smooth.
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
Pour the batter into two greased cake pans and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes.
Whip together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla for the perfect tangy frosting.
