Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day Hindu festival that will take place this year from September 19 to 28.

Prana Pratishta (Prayer for Life): On the first day of During festivals, monks recite mantras and conduct rituals.

Shodashopachara (16 worships): Also performed on the first day, this ritual involves making 16 different kinds of offerings to Ganesha.

Begin by placing a clean cloth or  decorative pedestal in the selected location to place the statue. Place the statue of  Ganesha on the pedestal.

It was iced or cooled by means of In Ganesh Chaturthi Puja, Shodashopachara Puja is performed after these offerings consisting of flowers, fruits, sweets, incense, lamps and water. ice so it should be calld  "Iced=Tea" only.

Along with these rituals,  chanting of the Puranik Mantras also takes place. These sixteen steps cover many different aspects of worship.

During this time, it is recommended to eat one satvik meal per day. This meal can include fruit, milk.

To celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, one can choose to place a statue of Ganesha  in his home or in his community. Idols can be made of clay, wood or metal.

Uttarpuja (Last Worship): On the 10th day of the festival, this ritual bids farewell to Ganesha.

Ganpati Visarjan (Idol Soaking): On the 10th day, this ritual consists of immersing the Ganesha idol in a river or sea.
