1 cup semolina (rava), 1 cup sugar, 1 cup chopped pineapple, 2 tbsp ghee, 1/4 cup water, milk and a handful of cashews & raisins.
In a large bowl, mix rice flour, semolina, chopped onions, green chilies, curry leaves, and a pinch of hing. Add salt to taste.
Take small portions of dough and shape them into round or flat discs using your fingers. Make a small hole in the center.
"Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. To test if the oil is hot, drop a small piece of dough – it should sizzle and rise.
Carefully drop the vadas into the hot oil. Fry until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Garnish with more cashews and raisins. Serve warm or chilled for a perfect treat.
