Preheat oven to 200°F and gather ingredients.
Grate potatoes and onion, then drain excess liquid.
Mix in egg, salt, pepper, and 2-4 tablespoons flour to thicken.
Heat oil in a skillet and drop 1/4-cup mounds of batter, flattening into pancakes.
Fry until golden, drain on paper towels, and keep warm in the oven.
