In a rare occurrence in Test cricket, R Ashwin of India and England's Jonny Bairstow will play their 100th match together on the field, marking only the fourth time such a feat has been achieved.

The 3rd instance took place during the Ashes contest between England and Australia in Perth in 2013, where Alastair Cook and Michael Clarke celebrated their 100th Test match together.
