Countries Without Their Own Airports

Vatican City

As the smallest country, Vatican City relies on Rome's airports. Visitors fly into Rome and travel to the heart of Catholicism, as the tiny 44-hectare country can't accommodate its own airport.

Monaco

Nestled on the French Riviera, Monaco lacks an airport but is close to Nice Côte d'Azur Airport in France, about 30 kilometers away. Helicopter services provide a quick and scenic route.

San Marino

Enveloped by Italy, San Marino uses Federico Fellini International Airport in Rimini, about 25 kilometers away. Its historical charm attracts visitors willing to travel a short distance.

Liechtenstein

This landlocked alpine country relies on Zurich Airport and St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport in Switzerland. The picturesque landscapes make the extra travel worthwhile.

Andorra

Situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees, Andorra lacks an airport. Visitors typically use Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France or Barcelona-El Prat Airport in Spain, about a three-hour drive away.
