– 2-3 ripe bananas (mashed) – 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1 tsp baking soda – 1/2 tsp salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) – 3/4 cup brown sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, cream melted butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
