Flour, sugar, milk, yeast, butter, egg, dried fruit, almonds, marzipan, cinnamon, nutmeg, powdered sugar.
Start by activating the yeast. Mix the yeast with warm milk and a pinch of sugar.
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix until a dough forms.
Fold in the dried fruit and chopped almonds. This gives the Stollen its rich, fruity texture.
Shape the dough into an oblong loaf and create a slight indentation in the center for the marzipan.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the Stollen for 35-40 minutes.
Slice and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
