1 can water chestnuts, 12 bacon slices (halved), 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, toothpicks.
Drain and pat dry the water chestnuts to remove excess moisture. This will help the bacon stick better.
Wrap each water chestnut with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic in a bowl until smooth and the sugar dissolves.
Dip each wrapped chestnut into the glaze, ensuring it's well-coated.
Remove toothpicks, arrange chestnuts on a platter, drizzle with glaze, and serve.
