Authentic Keralan Prawn Masala In Easy Steps

Take 2 tbsp sunflower oil, 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, 25g fresh root ginger, 2 long green chillies, 2 tsp garam masala,1 tsp hot chilli powder,1 tsp turmeric, 4 tomatoes, 1 tsp tamarind paste,2 tsp  honey, 400glarge raw tiger or king prawns and  fresh coriander.

Heat the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan and gently fry the onion for 5 minutes, until                              softened.

In the next step, Add the garlic, ginger and chillies and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Sprinkle over the garam masala, chilli powder, tamarind paste tomatoes and turmeric and cook for 7-9 minutes.                 make you thirsty later.

 Add in the prawns and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes until the prawns are tender.

Garnish it with some fresh coriander leaves and serve hot!
