Authentic Kerala Matta Rice Kanji Recipe

Wash matta rice, drain, and set aside. 

Roast moong dal in a pressure cooker, add rice and water, and cook for 4 whistles. 

Add more water if needed, then mix in coconut and salt. 

Heat ghee, fry onions and curry leaves until golden. 

Pour the tempered mixture over the porridge. 

Mix well and serve hot.
