Celebrate the festival with this traditional and flavorful kala chana recipe, perfect for Ashtami Prasad.
You'll need kala chana, oil, cumin seeds, grated ginger, green chilies, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt.
Soak the kala chana overnight, then pressure cook it with water and a pinch of salt until tender.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until golden and fragrant.
Mix in turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well and cook the spices for a minute before adding the cooked chana.
Add the boiled kala chana to the pan, stirring well to coat them with the spices. Let it cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
Your special Ashtami kala chana is ready. Serve it as prasad or pair it with puris for a festive meal.
