Acti.EV: Tata Brings Future Electric Car With Mindblowing Look, 600 KM Range And Fastest Charging
The country's automotive sector is rapidly electrifying. Last year's sales figures for electric vehicles and the influx of new vehicles bear witness to the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the country.
Tata Motors is playing a leading role, holding sway over approximately 73% of the market share in the four-wheeled electric vehicle segment.
Today, the company has taken another stride in maintaining its dominance in the electric vehicle segment by introducing cutting-edge technology, which will aid the company in charting a long-distance course for its electric future.
Layer 1 - Powertrain Layer: The Acti.EV architecture features an optimized battery pack design that incorporates cells tested to meet advanced global standards, resulting in a 10% improvement in energy density. The battery pack is crafted to provide the vehicle with multiple range options, covering approximately 300 km to 600 km on a single charge. The Acti.EV architecture-based electric vehicle supports AC fast charging. This allows the battery to be charged in just 10 minutes, providing a range of 100 km.
Layer 2 - Chassis Layer: The second layer of this architecture, termed 'Chassis' facilitates the adaptation of the vehicle to various body structures, making it easily convertible to any body type.. The company also asserts that vehicles based on this architecture will meet all the standards of both global NCAP and the recently launched India NCAP, ensuring they come with a 5-star rating.
3 - Electrical Architecture: Acti.EV is a future-ready architecture equipped with advanced computing power, enabling the vehicle to be upgraded to Level-2 Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS). It is a scalable architecture designed for ADAS L2+ capabilities, ensuring high standards of safety and navigation capabilities
4 - Cloud Architecture: Cloud-based technology is currently a significant global trend, and Tata's electric cars will also witness its implementation. It includes an app suite called Arcade.ev, providing users with superior connectivity for Over-The-Air (OTA) updates and an enhanced feature experience.
