Viral Video: A dramatic video featuring a VRL Travels bus is going viral on social media platforms. In the viral clip, the bus driver was filmed watching ‘Bigg Boss’, a Television reality show, on his mobile phone while driving at nearly 80 Km/hr in Karnataka. According to reports, the incident occurred on October 27 on the bus en route to Hyderabad from Mumbai.
A passenger on the bus filmed and shared the video online with the caption “One of the reasons for accidents,” sparking concerns about safety rules. The clip captures the bus driver watching Bigg Boss while keeping his phone below the steering wheel on a late-night journey.

VRL Travels Fires Driver, Issues Apology
The video drew massive attention, prompting VRL Travels to take immediate action and launch a probe into the incident. VRL Travels, operated by Vijayanand Travels, issued an apology statement and fired the concerned bus driver.
The statement read, “We sincerely regret the inconvenience, fear, and distress you experienced during your journey on 27th October from Mumbai to Hyderabad. Passenger safety is our top priority, and we take such matters with the utmost seriousness. Following your complaint, an internal inquiry was conducted, and the concerned driver has been relieved from duty with immediate effect due to his negligent behavior. Vijayanand Travels maintains zero tolerance for any action that compromises passenger safety. With over 1,300 drivers in our travel division and 10,000+ drivers in logistics, we continuously conduct regular safety training and awareness programs. Incidents like this are extremely rare, and we sincerely thank you for bringing it to our attention. Please be assured that we have reinforced strict instructions to all drivers not to use mobile phones while driving. Once again, we apologize for the unpleasant experience and thank you for helping us maintain our safety standards.”
