Viral Video: A normal traffic check in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral on the Internet after the police officer stopped an elderly man for not wearing a helmet.
In a video shared on Instagram by traffic police officer @vivekanandtiwarithetrafficcop, an elderly man is stopped for riding a bike without a helmet. Instead of arguing or making excuses, the man gave an honest answer that made the conversation between the two heart-warming and left others smiling.
When the cop asks him why he is not wearing a helmet, the elderly man says,“Sir, mere size ka helmet hi nahi milta” (Sir, I can’t find a helmet that fits my head).
At first, the traffic police look at him in doubt, but to check, he himself put his brings his helmet and tries to put it on the man’s head. The helmet doesn’t fit at all, proving the biker was telling the truth.
Instead of issuing a fine, the policeman requests helmet-making companies to produce helmets in larger sizes so that everyone, including elderly riders, can follow safety rules.
“Many people have bigger heads like this gentleman. Companies should also make helmets for them,” he says in the video.
