Jahnavi Mehta, popularly known as the ‘KKR girl,’ once again grabbed attention during the IPL 2026 mini-auction being held in Abu Dhabi. The auction is being conducted for the 19th season of the Indian Premier League, where 10 teams are looking to fill 77 player slots with a total purse of Rs 237.55 crore.
Jahnavi was seen at the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bidding table, drawing strong interest from fans and social media users. She had also gone viral during previous IPL auctions and earned the nickname ‘KKR girl’ for her regular presence at the team table.
Jahnavi Mehta is the daughter of Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla and businessman Jay Mehta. Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta are co-owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise. This is the third time Jahnavi has represented KKR at an IPL auction. She first caught public attention in 2022 when she appeared alongside team officials during the bidding process.
Many fans have pointed out her resemblance to her mother and praised her confident presence at the auction venue.
A graduate of Columbia University, Jahnavi Mehta is actively involved in her family’s business interests. She generally stays away from media attention and is focusing fully on business responsibilities after making her first appearance at the IPL auction.
Meanwhile, Hurun India’s Rich List 2024 included Juhi Chawla among the top 20 richest Indians. According to the report, Juhi Chawla’s total net worth is estimated at Rs 4,600 crore, largely due to the assets of the Mehta Group. As the heir to this wealth, Jahnavi Mehta is now stepping into the business world with a strong financial legacy.
