New Delhi: The results of the by-elections on five wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have been declared and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won a landslide victory.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has won four out of five wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), while one seat has gone to the Congress. The results of the MCD by-elections are troubling for the BJP because this time the party could not even open its account.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidates have won in Shalimar Bagh North, Kalyanpuri, Trilokpuri and Rohini-C wards, while the Congress has won the Chauhan Bangar ward. Four of these five wards were with AAP, while the incumbent representative from Shalimar Bagh North was a BJP councilor.
