Video: PM Modi on tour of Tamil Nadu, Kerala; gifts Arjun Tank to Indian Army

Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Sunday. PM Modi handed over the Arjun MK-1A (Mark 1A) tanks to the Indian Army, as part of a crucial step towards self-sufficient India.

A total of 118 Arjun MK-1A tanks were commissioned into the Indian Army on Sunday.

This is an important visit of PM Modi before the elections in West Bengal. On the other hand, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will launch his party's election campaign in Assam.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
