The preliminary examination for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) was conducted on September 20, 21, and 27, 2025. The test included a total of 100 questions, divided into the following sections:
- English Language: 30 questions
- Numerical Ability: 35 questions
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions

As per the State Bank of India (SBI), the selection process for the Clerk recruitment will consist of three stages — the Preliminary Exam (Objective Test) carrying 100 marks, the Main Exam worth 200 marks, and a Local Language Test carrying 20 marks.
The Main Examination will include sections on General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total duration of the test will be 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Candidates who qualify in the preliminary round can now prepare for the Main Examination, which is tentatively scheduled for November 17, 2025. SBI has announced that call letters for the main exam will be available for download around ten days before the exam date for candidates who cleared the prelims.
