Noida: The Noida Authority is trying to make the city number one in the country in terms of cleanliness. But some people do not want to improve and throw garbage in the open and run away, and because of this, dirt is spreading because of this bad habit. Now the Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari (Ritu Maheshwari IAS), has ordered the installation of CCTV cameras to monitor such people.
On Monday, Ritu Maheshwari took the decision during the meeting of the public health department of the authority.
Noida CEO Ritu Maheshwari said, “The city is a part of the cleanliness survey. Thousands of employees work throughout the year to keep every nook and cranny of Noida clean. A large number of Noida Authority officials supervise Various schemes that have been implemented to make it clean. Employees pick up garbage from door to door. Arrangements have been made to dispose of wet and dry garbage separately. Hundreds of crores of rupees are being spent annually on garbage disposal. Despite this, some people spoil all this hard work. 37 such places have been identified in Noida, where people secretly throw garbage and run away. Now CCTV cameras will be installed to nab such people.”
The CEO has ordered the officials of the Public Health Department to install CCTV cameras at all 37 places by June 30 under any circumstances. A control room will be set up to monitor the live feed from these cameras along with authority employees so that the throwers can be identified easily. They will be fined, and legal action will also be taken.
