New Delhi: A case of molestation against a female crew member has come to light on an Indigo flight coming from Dubai to Amritsar. Following the complaint of the woman, the accused has been arrested, and further action is being taken.
The accused has been identified as Rajinder Singh, who was travelling on flight number 6E 1428 from Dubai to Amritsar. He was arrested soon after landing at Amritsar airport at around 8 p.m. on Sunday night.
The accused was a resident of Kotli village in Jalandhar, Punjab, and had allegedly consumed excessive alcohol on the flight. In an inebriated state, he misbehaved with a female crew member.
At that time, the flight staff handled the situation. The security manager took up the matter with the police after landing. The police have taken the accused into custody and are probing the incident.
Incidents of objectionable behaviour by passengers travelling by air have become common in the last few months.
