Delhi-NCR recorded its first confirmed death from dengue on Tuesday (October 7, 2025). Noida Authority assistant general manager (department of institution) Ashish Bhati became the first to die from the disease at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital. The Official’s family rushed him to the hospital late at night on Saturday in a critical condition. He was initially taken to a private hospital in Noida, but was referred to Delhi later. The patient was diagnosed with dengue and reportedly died after multi-organ failure.

Ashish Bhati was a resident of Noida’s Sector 61. His father, a former Uttar Pradesh minister, and his mother, a social worker, lived with him. He left behind his wife, a daughter, and two sons. His last rite was attended by several MPs and MLAs. Although many cases have been reported across the country, this is the first case of death in Delhi-NCR this season.
