Delhi Weather Update: City Braces For Warmer Days – Here’s When Rain Is Expected | Check Forecast For Next 5 Days

In a detailed weather forecast, IMD predicted partly cloudy skies in the national capital for the next five days. Though there will be no heatwave conditions until 22nd May, Delhiites will witness temperatures hovering around 40 degrees Celsius.

Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of rain accompanied by gusty winds, thunderstorms, and lightning in Delhi/NCR on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Parts of Delhi saw a sudden change in weather as heavy rains lashed the city, providing relief from excessive heat. However, residents may experience a hot day today as the temperatures are likely to surge up to 43 degrees Celsius. Additionally, an alert has been sounded for dust-raising winds, temporarily reaching to 50 Km/h, especially during morning hours.

On the other hand, no large change in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures was recorded during the past 24 hours.

Delhi Weather Forecast For Next Five Days

According to IMD, significant weather changes will be witnessed in Delhi over the next few days. On 18th and 19th May, the city will see a partly cloudy sky with sustained surface wind, traveling at a speed of 15 to 25 Km/h and later gusting to 35 Km/h. On Sunday, the maximum temperatures will remain between 40-42, while on Monday, it will likely touch the 41-degree mark. Thereafter, on 20th and 21st May, the residents will wake up to a partly cloudy sky, with temperatures expected to hover below 40 degrees Celsius.

On 22nd May, light to moderate rain will bring relief from the scorching heat. However, people are advised to take necessary precautions as IMD has issued a warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (temporarily reaching 50 Km/h) next Thursday.
