Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a list of days in March on which banks will remain closed for national or regional festivals and special observances. Many festivals, including Holi (Holi 2023) are being celebrated in March. Apart from these festivals, March also includes some 6 weekly holidays including Sundays and 2nd-4th Saturdays. Significantly, apart from Sundays, banks in the country continue to work on the first and third Saturdays of the month, while the second and fourth Saturdays are bank holidays. March 3, 2023: Banks will remain closed in Aizawl on the occasion of Chapchar Koot.

March 5, 2023: Sunday Holiday

March 7, 2023: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Guwahati, Kanpur, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Rachi and Panaji on the occasion of Dhuleti / Dol Jatra / Holi / Yaosang.

March 8, 2023: Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, and Srinagar on the day of Holi.

March 9, 2023: There will be a bank holiday only in Patna on the occasion of Holi.

March 11, 2023: Second Saturday Holiday

12 March 2023: Sunday Holiday

19 March 2023: Sunday Holiday

March 22, 2023: Bank closure in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, and Srinagar on the occasion of Gudi Padwa / Ugadi / Bihar Day / Sajibu Nongmapanba / First Navratri / Telugu New Year Day Will remain

March 25, 2023: Fourth Saturday Holiday

26 March 2023: Sunday Holiday

30 March 2023: Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi on the occasion of Ram Navami.
