New Delhi: Mahindra recently launched the new Scorpio Classic as a rebadged version of the second generation Scorpio. It will be sold alongside the new Scorpio N, with both models catering to different target groups.
However, Mahindra has significantly reduced the number of variants of the new Scorpio Classic, which means that it is now only available with a diesel engine and in two trims. Let’s take a closer look at the variant list of variants of the new Scorpio Classic.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic: 2 trims, 6 variants
The Scorpio Classic is available in just two trims, the bare-bones S and the fully loaded S11, and with one powertrain – a 132bhp 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The optional automatic transmission and 4×4 system previously available on the Scorpio are no longer on offer.
However, Mahindra offers several seating configurations with the new Scorpio Classic. It can be had in either two 7-seat configurations or as a 9-seat. The 7-seat configuration includes a 2-2-3 seating arrangement with captain’s seats in the second row and a bench in the third, and a 2-3-2 arrangement that has a bench in the middle and two separate jumps. seats in the third row. As for the 9-seater, it comes with a 2-3-4 layout with twin side jump seats for the third row. All three seat configurations are available on both trims.
