New Delhi: India registered a remarkable victory as the Blues thrashed Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022. Rohit Sharma’s men emerged winners, thanks to Hardik Pandya playing a crucial all-round role and even winning the Man of the Match award.

At the start of the 18th over, the Indian team required 32 runs to win. Naseem Shah had seemingly delivered a massive blow to India on the fourth delivery of the over when the umpire raised his finger on an lbw appeal.

Jadeja reviewed straightaway and was saved as the ball was pitched marginally outside the leg-stump.

There was a collective sigh of relief in the Indian camp when the umpire’s decision was overturned, but superstar Virat Kohli’s reaction to the incident was hilarious. He had both hands on his head and shouted ‘Bach gaye’ before looking up towards the sky with a praying gesture.

After the successful review came to the Blue’s rescue, on the very next ball, Jadeja hammered Naseem Shah with a six, bringing the equation down to 21 off 13 balls.

India will return to action on July 31, when the side takes on Hong Kong in its second and final match of the group stage.
