New Delhi: An Air India passenger lost her cat at Delhi airport and blamed the airline for their mismanagement. The complaint was raised on Twitter by the woman’s friend, Sony S. Somar.
According to the complaint, his friend Jangneichong Karong had taken two kittens with her for travel on the AI889 Delhi to Imphal flight. When she reached the check-in counter Karong was asked to rebook the flight or upgrade to business class to bring the dogs with her in the cabin. When she realised that neither option was available, she agreed to allow the employees to transport the kittens via cargo.
My friend’s pet is missing due to negligence by @airindiain staff. This is a heart-wrenching tragedy and your negligence is inexcusable. You must take responsibility for your actions and make things right immediately. @RNTata2000

She said that before boarding at Terminal 3, employees notified her that one of the kittens, Phoenix, had escaped from the secured and robust’ cage. She said, based on screenshots of the email sent to the Tata Group-owned company, that a tiny kitten could not have kicked open the clasp unless the workers had been reckless with the cage. She blamed the on-the-ground personnel for the incompetence and stated that her demands for CCTV footage were also ignored.

She said, “This is really not done, especially for a passenger who was ready to pay and in fact, paid all the required amount to have my 2 kittens fly with me.”
Her friend shared the incident and wrote, “My friend’s pet is missing due to negligence by @airindiain staff. This is a heart-wrenching tragedy and your negligence is inexcusable. You must take responsibility for your actions and make things right immediately.”
