While vacationing in Kerala, a woman from Karnataka recently lost her iPhone worth ₹1.5 lakh while enjoying the waves from atop large rocks on the beach. Despite initial efforts, the phone couldn’t be recovered. However, the resort staff, Kerala police, and Fire and Rescue department collaborated to navigate waves and rocks and locate the lost device. A circulating video depicts how they found the missing iPhone after seven hours.
The long and challenging operation, captured in a video shared by the official page of the resort, Antiliya Chalets, depicts department officials standing on huge rocks. They then retrieve her phone using ropes. After several hours of planning and hard work, the team finally hands the device to the woman, who poses with the officials for pictures.
‘The video depicts a part of yesterday’s accident,’ the resort captioned the post. ‘The iPhone worth ₹150,000 belonging to the Karnataka woman staying in our chalet fell between the huge rocks on the beach. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t retrieve it. The challenging situation was exacerbated by strong waves, winds, and rain.’
