Uttar Pradesh: In Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, a man who was administering a WhatsApp group has been arrested after a "derogatory" comment against the state's Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, surfaced on social media. The incident came to light on August 4 when the offensive comment went viral. The arrested individual has been identified as Sahabuddin Ansari, while the person who originally posted the comment, Muslim Ansari, is currently on the run. The Kotwali Police Station SHO, Ajay Kumar Seth, stated that they received a complaint via Twitter on the same day. The WhatsApp group in question, named 'Nagar Palika Parishad Bhadohi,' includes almost all the corporators of the Nagar Palika Parishad of Bhadohi, along with members of the public. Its purpose was to address the issues faced by the local community. The arrest of the WhatsApp group admin highlights the growing concern over social media misuse and underscores the authorities' commitment to take action against individuals responsible for spreading offensive content online.
