What is Khula?

“Khula” is a right granted to women in Islam, allowing them the option to seek divorce, signifying the termination of their marriage. Following a divorce, the husband bears the responsibility for providing the education and financial support for the children. In the aftermath of the separation, the children typically reside with their mother until they reach the age of “Hizanat.” For sons, this age is seven years, while for daughters, it is until they reach the age of puberty.
