Swift Assembly with Modular Units
The Living Building is constructed from standard container-sized modular units manufactured in a Broad Group factory. Each module, made with a stainless steel structure, measures 12.19 meters in length, 2.44 meters in width, and three meters in height. The container-shaped modules are ingeniously stacked, creating a column-free space of 12 meters by 4.8 meters, with walls and balconies folding out to enclose the spaces.

China – Rapid Onsite Installation
Transported to the site with all electrical and internal finishes completed, the modules facilitate a swift onsite installation. The company claims, “Just tighten bolts and connect water and electricity, as fast as 10 storeys can be erected in one day.” The video showcases the fully furnished apartment block with a minimalist design featuring white walls, timber window frames, and flooring.
Stainless Steel Innovation
Broad Group employs a cutting-edge construction method, using modular units with stainless steel slabs formed of two plates separated by hundreds of stainless steel tubes. These B-core slabs are touted to be 10 times lighter and 100 times stronger than conventional floor plates, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation.
