The accused, both 25 years old, removed the number plates from their BMW and Fortuner vehicles before engaging in the stunts. However, their reckless act was captured on CCTV cameras installed along the ORR stretch, allowing the RGI Airport police to trace the vehicles and identify the drivers. The police subsequently arrested the two, Mohammed Obaidullah from Rajendranagar and Zohair Siddiqui, from Malakpet, and seized the luxury cars.

The police took an immediate action after reviewing the CCTV footage and finding the suspects, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police KS Rao. The incident has raised concerns about illegal street racing and stunt driving on Hyderabad’s roads. As a result, authorities are increasing surveillance on important routes.
