Mumbai: Cricketer Prithvi Shaw and Bhojpuri actress Sapna Gill get into the fight over a selfie. She attacked his car with a baseball bat outside a hotel in the Santacruz area of Mumbai. For allegedly attempting to intimidate the cricketer by destroying his car and threatening to accuse him in a false case, the Oshiwara Police have detained Gill and seven other people.

An FIR was filed against eight individuals.
The eight suspects allegedly threatened to settle the matter for Rs. 50,000 or she would file a false police report against them. Yadav then lodged a complaint against the suspect. Based on the complaint, Oshiwara Police opened an investigation under sections 143 (illegal assembly), 148 (rioting), 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation), and others of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
Oshiwara Police recorded the statement of Shaw’s friend Ashish Yadav once again. Accused had given life threats to Yadav. IPC Sec 387 (Putting person in fear of death or of grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion) added to the FIR: Mumbai Police
