The Uttar Pradesh (UP) police saved the monkey’s life with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Vikas Tomar, 51, a senior constable of Bulandshahr’s Chhatar police station, revived the poor primate after a relentless effort that lasted 45 minutes after he fainted. The video shows the police pressing on the chest and giving water to the monkey.

‘I pumped the chest for almost 45 minutes, occasionally massaging and pouring small amounts of water into the mouth.’

This is not the first time a monkey has been rescued in India, in 2021 he rescued a severely injured monkey on his way home from work when he found the animal hanging from a tree in Perambalur.

He hurried to check if the monkey attacked by the stray dogs was still there. Earlier this month, a CPR video surfaced showing him giving an animal a full minute before it started breathing.
