There have been several reports of leopards wandering into residential areas. Environmentalists blame unchecked development for destroying leopards and other animal habitats.

Netizens reaction

A user commented, “Since its Nainital in Uttarakhand we can proudly say that we are No 1 state in Wild Life Conservation.”

Another user questioned the officer, “How u can be so sure about Post-Dinner walk…….May be this cat still searching for Dinner.”

A third user commented, “I can relate to the humour but am frightened by the thought of kids playing inside the gate, potentially, at the time of leopard’s entry inside.”
