New Delhi: Actor Elnaaz Norouzi has joined the ongoing protests in Iran and has also showed a unique way to do so. She took to Instagram and posted a video. In the video she can be seen from removing various layers of clothes that she is wearing.
From wearing burqa to going topless
The Sacred Games actor stripped multiple layers of clothes that she is wearing. She goes from wearing a burqa to becoming topless in a matter of minutes.
The video begins with Elnaaz wearing a burqa which covers her entire body. Only her eyes are not covered. She then strips off the her head scarf followed by the burqa. After removing a couple of cloth layers she then appears in a denim outfit.
She again removes a couple of more clothes and looks at the camera when she is just in a crop top. Towards the end the only cloth that remains is her undergarment. She then removes her bikini and goes completely topless while covering her breasts with her hand.
‘My body, my choice’
The video is also attested by consecutive texts. The first set of text is ‘my body, my choice’. It is followed by ‘if this is your choice, it’s ok’, ‘and this is ok too’, ‘your choice, also ok’, ‘and so is this’, and ‘and this is ok too’. The video ends with the final set of text which reads ‘woman life freedom’.

The original video was posted on Instagram which has now been removed. Its caption read, She captioned the post, “Every Woman, anywhere in the world, regardless of where she is from, should have the right to wear whatever she desires and when or wherever she desires to wear it. No man nor any other woman has the right to judge her or ask her to dress otherwise. Everyone has different views and beliefs and they have to be respected.”
‘Democracy means power to decide’
She further added, “Democracy means the power to decide… Every Woman should have the power to decide over her own body! (muscles and collision emojis). I am not promoting nudity, I am promoting freedom of choice!”
Her post was also stuffed by hashtags, Mahsa Amini, women, free Iran, women supporting women, women empowerment, freedom, freedom of choice, freedom of speech, women, and my body my choice.
Elnaaz’s gesture is a form of support for the Iranian protests
Elnaaz’s message is in support of the demonstrations that broke out in Iran when Mahsa Amini, 22, passed away while in detention after being arrested for allegedly flouting stringent Islamic clothing regulations for women.
